Some of your Journey sounds familiar!! Some of it sounds like my journey. I also went in thinking I had a hemorroid problem & found out I had cancer! Then the treatments began............the radiation & chemo to shrink the tumor. The waiting & the Surgery & a temporary ileostomy & still have that for a while longer............ Then there was more waiting & now I'm in the 6-months/8 rounds of chemo treatment to get rid of anything else that might be there!! Will be starting my 2nd Round this week............ Sorry to read that you have a permanent colostomy. Hope all is well with that & hang in there & hopefully you can find some people to talk to on here. Maybe I can be one of them?
