Welcome Lucky Girl! Let me know if you have any questions about treatment, best practices etc. I was diagnosed March 6th stage IIIa. Went through treatment and scan in August was NED (no evidence of disease. They no longer say cured). Happy to share some of the little things I learned to make the process a bit easier. For example, if you can .... get a cool water cone dilator. It really helps during radiation....hugs and best of luck to you!

Did you let the doctor know? That might be the best thing to do.

Seriously after everything we've been through you have to go to this to you? That is really a bummer. I was reading up about him and it seems lots of sitz baths and drinking tons of water is helpful. I'm sure you've already done the research yourself. I sure hope you're feeling some relief soon. I am only a few weeks behind you in the treatment regime. Doing pretty well so far except for the dilator issue. Seems that will never get better! Take care!!!

I have issues with fissures which started about 2 months after the treatments ended. Caused by the diarrhea. I feel your pain! Burning and itching and spasms that lasted for hours after a bowel movement. I am not able to sit down comfortably sometimes. I do a bent over sort of sitz bath in the shower and let hot water run over the area, which does help relax everything. I also have a hydrocortisone cream with something else in it, it is a prescription cream, not the over the counter ones, and it does help with the pain. Have your doctor take a look, it may be a fissure as well if you are burning inside. Very common to happen they tell me. Hope you find relief!
