Radiation (External radiation ): I was more exhausted with radiation (or 'rads') then I ever was during chemo.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I finished chemo towards the end of 2007. It's now nearly the middle of 2015, and I am STILL dealing with side effects.

Decision Point (Do I risk the effects of the aggressive chemo?): Reading through the paperwork they gave me for the trial, I got scared. Some of the effects were secondary cancers, heart damage, nerve damage...when I called to ask about my concerns, I was told, "if you don't do the chemo, the cancer will kill you!" I allowed myself to get scared into agreeing.

Clinical Trial (For chemo, I was treated as being HR+ when I was negative): This was my only option that I had...get treated more aggressive than needed to get chemo I needed.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): My first procedure was a sentinel node biopsy, the same day as my lumpectomy. I was shocked at the small amount of pain I was in..just some discomfort. I had expected things to be much, much worse.

Oh No (Health insurance issue): I was diagnosed, no insurance, and living about 300 miles away from my family.
