Thanks for responding to my search for TNBC. My chemo started June 7th and within 3 weeks my hair was all gone. I don't believe anything would have stopped it. Although it took longer my eyebrows and eye lashes are history, too. I am interested in the conversation about watching for recurrence for 3 years. That's the first I heard about a time when you can exhale (a little).

I was diagnosed three months ago with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer, I just finished 4 doses of chemo on November 20 & will start another form of chemo taxol on december 3 for 12 weeks. When my chemo is finished I will be getting a double mastectomy, followed by 6 weeks of radiation everyday for 10 minutes, then the expanders & reconstruction will be done. If there is anything I can help with don't hesitate to ask. I have a long year ahead of me but I will have my life back. can't wait!!!

I was diagnosed with Stage 2, Grade 3, TNBC June 2011. I chose the bilateral mastectomy and a clinical trial. Finished my last round of Chemo Dec 2011. I see someone has already mentioned the website www.tnbcfoundation.org I agree you can find some good information there.

    NancyRPh shared an experience

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Adriamycin and Cytoxan put me flat for 2 days, but then I recovered. Two of the treatments put me in the hospital for infections.

Taxol has been extremely easy to take. It's just now that I have my last treatment (#12) the day before Thanksgiving that the drug has worn me down. Side effects have been very minimal and managable.
