You know I don't care for most juices, but that sounds good! How is it going with it so far, do you still like it?

I found a juice this week that seems to help me with hydration. Bolthouse makes a watermelon jucie w/ mint. It is very tasty and goes down well. :) AND I can drink the whole glass in less than an hour. That is good news, as it usually takes me at least 2 - 3 hours to finish most of a bottle of water (17 oz).

I got it at Safeway here in Phoenix. Bolthouse makes it and many stores carry them - Sunflower Market and Sprouts defiunately do. I still like it GregP_WN it makes staying hydrated much easier.

This is a weird thing, this smell. It's been 27 years since I had chemo, I had radiation 5.5 years ago for the second time. I have such a terrible smell when I really sweat a lot that I don't want to be around anyone, or maybe they don't want to be around me. It's different than it used to be, but I can't see how it would be affected by chemo 27 years ago. But it's mentioned alot.

Side Effects (Hair loss (alopecia)): Well, Saturday I noticed my scalp/hair hurt when touched. Didnt think much about it. Went shopping came home and washed my hair. That is when I found out my hair is beginning to fall out. :(
Not big clumps, just individual strands like its thinning. My sister offered to go with me to the beauty shop and get a buzz cut, so perhaps that would be as noticeable at work that the hair is on its way out.
Other than that I got my appetite back this week - just in time for another chemo treatment! lolover 6 years ago3 Comments-

Hello, your sense of humor inspires me! My scalp started to hurt/tingle like yours about 3 weeks after my first chemo treatment, right before the second treatment. Once it started to thin a little the majority of it fell out within 7 days. I had shoulder length hair at the time, so it was traumatic for me. In retrospect I definitely agree with you and 66Susie to get a buzz cut, or a short style. All the best to you!

As soon as I felt my scalp starting to tingle(2 weeks after first treatment) I had my long hair cut to a short cut and donated about 9". I had less than a week to enjoy my cute short cut before I got grossed out by finding enough hair on my pillow every morning to make up a small animal, so I buzzed mine myself. Losing my hair was probably one of the parts of treatment I will remember most vividly for the rest of my life. But once the hair was gone, it was smooth sailing for me...literally! :)
