What's on my mind? I started Interferon which makes me sick as XXX. Came from NC in July to a major center in San Diego and to be near family. I have 13 and 14 yr old kids. Father is abusive and mental. Tried to get him to let me go for 3 months while I got sicker. He just accused me of faking cancer and taunted me, my family and children. Now last week served papers small town had a court hearing and ordered me in "contempt" of court for visitation, contempt for not showing and he is now filing kidnapping charges. I sent a 9 page plea and it was ignored. In July I informed the court where I was going along with medical plea from the doctor that I needed a Multi Disciplinary Center and near my family, but they are railroading us. We need help. I am in treatment and the father just wants me dead. Divorced 13 years. Can Someone offer help or advice? If I would have stayed in NC the nearest anything was 7 hours away. My children are thriving here and my Epileptic son is currently seizure free from no stress. Surely, someone can help?

Decision Point: It is time to make a therapy choice to start with. Interferon is the doctor's recommendation. Many side effects....con's are : kick up the auto immune disorder being held at bay also unknown, kick up the Sarcoid ultimate death, and of course major depression. Am looking at the 5 year term plan but still taxing.

Celebration (Lymphnodes look good): Out of surgery and lymphnodes came back as malignant. WE are thrilled! It is a small celebration but we will take it. The side effects are tiring. The surgery went well much better than anticipated. The chunk missing from my arm..can we say "Shark bite!" but I have an arm. The fluid problem with the arm is getting worse. It has been 3 weeks and the pain has increased and the swelling is worse. Now it is onto physical therapy for a sleeve, more pain meds and home treatment. Limiting activity, fatigue and emotions are frustrating. Very depressed at this juncture, but cancer results are looking hopeful.

Procedure or Surgery (Wide excision surgery): Went for a wide excision surgery. They were expecting to possibly take my left arm off. They prepared me for it. They were also talking a skin graft and major recovery. Went from 6 hour surgery to 2 hours and came out with the arm and missing 7 lymphnodes...THRILLED!

Procedure or Surgery (Bronchialoscpy? Take a peek inside and biopsy..): So after this procedure I was also diagnosed with Pulminary Sarcoidosysis which is a mimic sister to Cancer. I was then scheduled for Surgery of removal of the Primary Melanoma source.
