    Pain Pump

My husband had a pain pump after surgery to repair his burst Achilles tendon a couple years ago. The nerve block did wonders for his pain level following surgery. I think he only had it for the first 4 or 5 days post-surgical, but he was way more comfortable than I was after my knee surgery without one, I'll say that. He also had a nerve block done for his esophagogastrectomy that helped for the first 24 hours after surgery so he couldn't feel his incisions. He said that it was too bad they couldn't have left that on for a few days, too. I can't say what it would do with neuropathy.

I am already on fentenyl and have been for 3 years. It has not helped much. I am also on oxy, and gabapenten. I have been on many pain meds and have not gotten releif . that the reason they want to do the pump.
