Is it weird that not once throughout my journey...that I never let it in that I had cancer? I never accepted it.

Decision Point: When my pet/ct scan came back active. I was at a cross road that meant either get more chemo or remove the tumor. Which required major surgery... I went with surgery and I'm still healing.

Side Effects (Chemo brain): Chemo brain and other side effects minor but still annoying.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Bleomycin, etopiside, cisplatin were my treatments. For 5 months I was treated. My schedule was being treated for 5 days a wk 8 hrs days. It wasn't fun nor were the side effects.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): I had to remove my left testical and that was not fun. But I decided whatever I had to do to save my life I was going to do it.

After chemo I was getting pet/ct scans to keep an eye on a tumor that was being treated in my pelvic area. 8 months later there was some activity spotted, they recommended surgery. RPLND surgery and this is no walk in the park either, complications was the tumor had absorbed my urethra line and they had to cut it and reattach it to my bladder. The tumor was removed successfully and no traces of cancer was found. I went home with a catheter and a stint in my bladder also. Neither were fun procedures to remove. But thankfully still healing and I'm alive.
