Hi Pam, I had the LF surgery after 10 other reconstruction surgeries. The LF is the only one that worked. I am very happy with the result.

dear friend, I am so sorry this happened to you. I had a similar problem. After 2 months the implants put in after the tissue expanders, the incision came open when I sneezed. We tried for 6 more weeks after restitiching it, to make it work but to no avail. I would have kept trying but at the same time my husband was diagnosed with cancer and his treatment took precedence, thankfully he is ok. Once all that was finished I next underwent surgery for the free flap which is where just tissue and a couple of good arteries/veins were also taken and made a new XXX on the left side. It was a good success. However, on the right abdomen where the free flap was taken, I developed a hernia with 4 hematomas. That was fixed but I have had 2 more surgeries to fix additional hernias. I have a family history of hernias so I can't say the free flap caused this. The only other thing I can say is that XXX that was placed as the new breast is always cold! I am satisified with the tattooing of the nipple that was created. I had the other breast lifted and reduced to a size "B". It turned out to be a pretty good match and I don't have to mess with any of the plants put in the breast...more natural. I had a good plastic surgeon and that makes a huge difference in recovery etc. If you have any further questions feel free to ask...Blessings and I hope it all works out for you, you deserve the best!
