Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): The first oh not was in March when my son called to say he had been diagnosed with anal cancer. I went to help him during his 2 one week rounds of chemo and 26 radiation treatments. Docs said 98% success rate with this type cancer and treatment. When the biopsy was done after treatment 6-8 weeks later, another call. The tumor was still there, and had metastasized, now in bone and soft tissue and Stage 4. Additionally a colostomy had to be preformed in September, and permanently cath'ed. He is now back home (was 700 miles away) and seeing docs here hoping to find a means to slow down the progression. If only they could get the pain under control as well
