      • Every 5 minutes a mother, daughter, wife or sister will be told she has lung cancer.
You read that correctly. Every 5 minutes.
One year later, fewer than half of these women will be alive. <

What Does November Mean to You?
      It's here. November has arrived.
This time of year is truly unique. Autumn air, colors, tastes and
traditions envelop the senses. But November is unique for another
reason. One that isn't so familiar to everyone. November is our chance
to raise awareness about the fact that lung cancer is the #1 cancer
killer of women. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

Every 5 minutes a mother, daughter, wife or sister will be told she has lung cancer.

Lung cancer is not just a smoker's disease---it is THE #1 cancer killer of women, but only one percent of women say it's even on their radar.

So how do we get the word out about this devastating reality?
We make a commitment to raise awareness.
We share the facts with our family, our friends, our co-workers.
We raise money to defeat lung cancer.

We educate everyone we know that every 5 minutes a women will be told she has lung cancer and one year later, fewer than half of these women will be alive. Join the movement. Make a difference by raising awareness about the funding that is desperately needed for early detection and improved treatment options for lung cancer.

      Know and Reduce Your Risk

You can't prevent lung cancer, but you can reduce your risk. Follow these recommendations to help protect your lungs.

Thanks for the infographic and your post. I lost my Mother to lung cancer, I don't much care for it either.
