Procedure or Surgery (Lumpectomy): It was hard to go thru the surgery because I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. I always thought that removing the breast would be better than just part of it. By taking the time to ask questions and really know that a lumpectomy was best. After surgery I worried about the margins and hoping they took enough.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Going thru chemo was a different experience since I have only been into a new state less than a year and go to the doctor's for the 1st time and find out 1 week later I have breast cancer. I have a doctor that really did a good job and really helped me thru the shock. I finished chemo on 6/14/12 and are waiting two weeks to start radiation. Chemo was not that bad everytime I went I learned what to do to make it easier. I did brush my teeth before and after every meal with sensitive toothpaste to get the bad taste out of my mouth and I was able to eat. The experience has really put alot of stress on me because I am working only when I can and it is hard since I am new at the job.
