I'm in Ohio, so I'm not much help, but Sloan Kettering has an excellent reputation. And it looks like you have some good options from folks living in NY. Good luck with your new adventure.

@peachpoppy, thank you. If I had to choose, I'd definitely go with MSKCC over Montefiore (but I've put MSKCC on the highest pedestal, so I'm not objective). Anyway, I wish you all the best, and welcome to New York!

I'm not in New York, but want to offer you a link to the NIH National Cancer Institute list of associated Comprehensive Cancer Centers:
https://www.cancer.gov/research/nci-role/cancer-centers/findThey are usually large health systems and do research funded by the NIH. I also think it's helpful to have all your own doctors in the same health system, because of electronic records, which means less stress for you getting records from doctor to doctor. Best wishes.

Oh No (Blood clots and infection): 11/11/16 - I went to the ER with pain and a rash in my left arm (which has lymphedema) they began treating me for an infection. They also discovered bilateral blood clots in my veins by my collarbones a.k.a. thrombosis of both subclavian veins. I had no symptoms of having a blood clot, so I feel very lucky that these were found. After much testing for possible causes they have determined that it was caused by the Tamoxifen I was taking. I immediately stopped taking it and will be moving to a different drug.
