Welcome to whatnext.com and best wishes to you. How was that chemoembolization? I have been curious about that. Was it painful?

Clinical Trial (I am in a clinical trial at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville): Got results from a PET Scan I had only 3 weeks after being on the trial drug, and it appears the lesions have decreased in size. Being in a clinical trial is a huge commitment. I have a 6 hour drive to Nashville and have to go every week. But if it works, it will all be worth it. You cannot have a "needle phobia" and be in a clinical trial!

No, it wasn't painful at all. The worst part is having to lie flat for 6 hours afterwards and not move your leg. It's a little tender at the incision site for a couple of days, but not bad at all. Last time, after being released from the hospital the next day, I stopped at Kohl's and did some shopping before the 3 hour trip home! No side effects whatsoever.
