Decision Point (Deciding to start targeted hormonal therapy. ): I had wanted to go with alternative treatments but feel I need to get a good start on this fight. I decided on a compromise. I will do the conventional therapy while using diet and supplements to build my immune system before and during - as a complimentary and alternative medicine, though I have to do that part on my own due to insurance not covering it. I'm going I. With a strong positive mindset and fully expect to get a good handle on this as mets can only be found in the one spot of bone. Still have to get latest CT scan results though. Hoping to beat it back to keep the drug therapy to a minumum.

@Plusmindset,, welcome to WhatNext. I want to wish you good luck with your treatments. I went with the total traditional treatment method. It is a decision that we all have to make. I am sure you will hear from others here that are treating their cancer the way you are. Let us know how it is going. Good luck. Take care.

Radiation (Internal radiation): Jaunt finished radiation to the fracture area. Was told I wouldn't experience side effects until starting about a week or 2 afterward. Possible fatigue and skin issues. If any of that occurs, then I guess I would have to change the rating on impact on daily life. I was told the effects won't last long.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): Had a chunk of bone missing in the femur chasing the fracture. Titanium rod was placed in the femur and bone biopsy taken. Lots of pain following surgery, but I stayed mentally strong and did my physical therapy without complaint. It was hard sometimes, but it has been really paying off. I still can't do much but my recovery has been fast compared to others.

Oh No (Just Diagnosed): Self diagnosed bc confirmed after femur fracture from bone mets. Had been trying some home alternatives but had leg pain. Femur broke when rising from a chair. I had no clue the pain I had was bone pain or that I had mets to the bone.
