Hey there, I would call the ACS hotline and talk to them about it.
They should be able to help you or lead you in the right direction. I will be praying for you and your daughter and if you need anything let me know.

hi
i am a cancer survivor -- 20 years ago I had part of my cervix removed and the doctors told me i would never be able to have children. ha on them -- my precious daughter is almost 18 and she is getting geared for college! In 2009 I had a breast cancer scare -- the papiloma -- thank goodness was benign-- but a month later during a routine colonscopy -- sigmoid mass- cancer........
Surgery was performed in January of 2010 -- 13 inches of my intestines, 15 lymph nodes and stage one cancer - no chemo no radiation and no bag!
six months later -- due to my job of a patient care tech in an er -- a umbilicus hernia - more surgery--
here is my question and I sincerely hope someone can help.
My precious daughter who was there for me and is my inner strength, who took care of me and still managed to maintain a high average in high school has a plan of going to college in Pa. is there any scholarships out there for children of colon cancer survivors for college?
I would so enjoy being there for her, for I am also divorced and she is far from a statistic. I am proud of her -- no drinking - no drugs and a joy to know.
