      Hi Pumba,

Did you stay laying flat? I was flat on my tummy until I went home after each procedure. Then I stayed flat the entire next day. (On my back so I could watch TV, lol). Since you felt you had to push out your next chemo treatment, be SURE to tell not only your oncologist about the headache, but also really stress it to the doctor who performs your next intrathecal. Perhaps there is something you can take to help prevent it, perhaps Tylenol afterward (or something stronger). At any rate, since you got a second opinion urging to you do them, then if you can stand it at all, try and keep it in your plans.

What day did the headache start?? That may be important to know. If it was right away that's one thing, if it was a day or two later, you may want to stay flat for a FEW days.

Donna, thank you so much for your advice! I talked to my oncologist, and he said the radiologist should have pushed in my meds much slower. I got another radiologist the second time around who did just that, and I had no head pain! I also followed your advice of laying flat for two days (the nurses at the hospital were unfortunately really nonchalant when I asked how long I should remain flat/if i should lay flat on my belly etc). I've got two more intrathecals, so praying it goes well again. Thank you and God bless! <3

I also used magic mouth wash. I bought a single serve blender and made smoothies with Vanille Ensure, ice cream and frozen fruit. Everything tasted too salty, so I made my own chicken soup etc. I ate popcicle all day long. My sister used the spray for hers.

I accidentally submitted before I finished. Jello also tasted good. Hang in there, it gets better. You can do this.

I used the vitamin granulated lethicin (not sure of the, spelling!) At the onset of chemo for stage IV and never had mouth sores.

Wow thank you all for all the replies and support! I really appreciate each and every one of you. I took everyone's advice and drank lots of water yesterday. I felt back to normal around 3 am this morning and then felt slight nausea this morning. I took the anti-nausea meds the doctor prescribed for me and have been eating today. I went back in for my neulasta shot today. Praying that everything goes well. God bless you all, sending all my best wishes to you. <3
