Im sorry your having those troubles. I was supposed to get a feeding tube, but I fought against it. Didn't want it, had one before and was always gagging on it. This time I was told if it was needed they could put it in by belly, instead of down the throat. Turned out I didn't need it. had trouble eating but made it off of liquids until it healed. I had trouble with the nausea and no appitite, sores in mouth from the radiation.
Sorry I can't answer your question about the tube specifically, but someone here will come along with an answer for you. welcome to the board.

Hi - yes thanks for the contact opportunity with you. I am very scared. He is admitted right now - he was dehydrated and fever but they find no source for infection and it might have been a virus. His blood sugar is veyr high and they want to start treating that. He is very weak post Radiation treatment.

Rachel- is he here in Sac inpatient? My husband had altogether 9 hospitalizations ranging from 3 days to almost 2 weeks. The best advice is to be there when the doctors come through every day and hear what they are saying, advocate for good treatment and care. If something isn't right, speak up and ask for it to be fixed!!
