    rcc3yrsout posted an update

I just wanted to share an update. My husband went for his check up this week. After being on the clinical trail for axtinib for 5 years, and off all medicine for 3 plus years he is cancer free. Doctor stated he can visit hometown doctors in future for scans/check ups. This is the best news ever.

Hi there - I have advanced clear cell kidney cancer. I would be more then glad to talk to about my experiences. I had a nepherctomey in 1995 and told I was cured. In July 2009 a few small lesions were found on my liver - I took sutent and then afintitor - which kept my cancer very very stable. It is stable, unfortunately my breast cancer Metastasized in late April of this year and I am now being treated with an infusion cocktail to treat both cancers. Knock on wood, they have not spread, I 3 kidney lesions and one breast lesion on my liver, all are responding to treatment and shrinking. Please feel free to contact me.
