Radiation (External radiation ): I had radiation for 5 weeks. I did I have to wear a mask, cage thing. My treatment lasted about 8-10 minutes. I have to say the hardest part of radiation was the last 3-5 minutes because that's when I would get claustrophobic and it sucked! Also I did experience nausea in the mornings which I don't know if that was my own anxiety or is that was a side effect.

Procedure or Surgery (Implant chemotherapy port): Placement and especially replacement(my first one wasn't set quite right) is pretty easy. I just couldn't wear strapless dresses that summer because of tenderness in the location in which my port was placed.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): My first chemo was ABVD and let me tell you it is rough and by far the one with the worst side effects so far. My port was flipped upward so I would be nauseated the entirety of chemo and then when I went home I would curl up in a ball and feel like XXX for 3-4 days. It sucked. Also it was a long regimen and I would have to be at the doctor for like 6 hours getting it because my hospital is so slow.

Procedure or Surgery (VATS procedure): Honestly I feel a VATS procedure in trying to diagnose cancer or recurrent cancer is about as easy as it comes. I was kept in the hospital over night with a chest tube for draining which wasn't that bad. Also I sore for about a week afterwards but overall it was not a bad surgery and it always proved to find what we were looking for and suspecting. After having other biopsies that showed up cancer free while knowing there was a cancer is quite frustrating.
