I had a small bowel impaction last week? Had surgery August 30th. I can only pass liquid, nothing solid. Is this normal? Does it take a while for your body to get back to normal? I was doing fine until the last month.

When I asked my surgeon if he got it all, he shrugged his shoulders and said that it was everywhere, small, large intesting and my bladder. Said my numbers aren't good - (35-40% will survive 5 years). Should I bother with treatment?
