I had R-CHOP which caused coughing and wheezing. My X-rays had me having to do a bronchoscopy. It was later decided to start treating it as a lung fungus even though tests were not completed. I was prescribed Vorconazol, Cherritusin and inhalers, Dulera and Ventolin. PET scans had to be postponed until X-rays were good as activity between bacteria cells and cancer cells cannot be distinguished. It was rough but I got though it. Wishing you all the best.

If someone blows out or spits up white phlegm (or "snot"), I've always been told that indicates infection and an antibiotic is needed. If the above remedies don't work, please ask for an antibiotic. Best wishes.

Side Effects (Cough): I have an almost continual violent cough/wheezing. When i "spit up" it's not pghlem but a white, filmy substance. Have real difficulty sleeping at all ~ day or night. Have taken Claritin and Flonase with no noticeable change. Very tired and very tired of coughing! Have had 2 chemo treatments (3rd one next week). Looking for answers!!
