Loss (Friend who was diagnosed two months before me has died): A friend and coworker was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just two months before I was diagnosed with large B cell NHL. He had surgery and chemo/radiation and he was doing really well. He was fine one day and the next he was in the ICU and died just three days later. They said his liver failed. I know our cancers were different, but it's still cancer and he still died. :-(

Oh No (Post R-CHOP pain in my left side/kidney area - MRI scheduled): My large B cell NHL presented first with severe pain in my left side, initially thought to be kidney stones. I had a 6cm tumor on my left adrenal gland and the left kidney was enlarged. I had 6 rounds of R-CHOP and last PET was clear; however, I continue to have mild to sometimes moderate pain in my left side that is becoming more frequent. No scan was ever done to evaluate whether or not the left kidney returned to normal. I'm having an MRI of the kidneys next week. Praying it is nothing that requires intervention, but still worried and anxious.

Procedure or Surgery (Implant chemotherapy port): I had my first chemo (RCHOP) treatment in the hospital following the implant. Two weeks later I developed an infection in the port. Back in the hospital for 11 days on IV antibiotics, then at home on them for 4 weeks.
