Well that really sucks. All I can offer is that you be very persistant with them to follow through and get something done for you. but being polite and patient at the same time will get you farther, faster than being difficult with those that are doing the paperwork for you. I sure hope they can get you something quick. I would also suggest calling the American Cancer Society, they have an 800 # 227 = 2345 they will start a file for you and try to find resources that they have on file to help with some of your needs.

I do find dealing with others to be very hard these days, I know I have suffered depression for a number of years now. That makes this all that much harder for me to deal with. I am glad to have you all here to be able to talk with when need be.

I have filed for disability last week so that process is started, I as well have applied for foodstamps as well down here in Georgia, through there I was given details on how to go about getting started on the medical needs before me. Yes this has to be one of the hardest things I have faced in my life, with my step brother, I feel as though I am on pins and needles. I intend to find someplace other to live very soon.

This is such a journey. You had a monetary pity party. We all did that! Now, you make plans and fight! You are stronger than you know or ever wanted to be. Good luck!

I used www.binderandbinder.com for Social Security Disability. They take no money unless you win your case. Even if you choose not to use them, their site is very informative. You got good info here. I would definitely speak to a Social Worker ASAP! Get going on this horrible disease and fight! I am sure you are feeling overwhelmed and I am sorry about your mom, but you are not her. Every day you are breathing there is hope. I send my prayers of support. Gd bless you.

Hey, the American Cancer Society has an eight hundred number, too. It was removed from my post, but when you go to their website, you will see it at the bottom of their search tools.
