I don't know much about psych tests. If you are having a hard time getting disability I have been told that difficulty getting disability is normal for most people. I have been told that many people get denied multiple times for disability. Could your physician give you any information on why you are getting test results that make you appear to be dishonest when you are telling the truth? I hope that you can find some one to help you out.

I think bipolar is treatable and therefore not considered a disability. But, many people get on disability with this disorder. My sister had it and was on disability for many years. But, she didn't take her medication correctly, or she drank, which caused the medicine not to work correctly. I think if you want to work, you need to take the medication as prescribed. If you don't want to work, you can expect to work at getting disability. I worked for SS for many years, and I saw most claims came back as denied on the first try. Just follow the procedures and file for a redetermination.

You can get disability because you are bipolar. My son and my husband both are bipolar (or, more accurately, have PTSD). Meds do help my husband live a more normal and stable life, they do NOT help my son, unfortunately. When filing for SS disability, we thought my husband would be a shoo-in since he was found to be 100% disabled through the VA. SS denied him. We had to get an attorney. Our first attorney wasn't very good. We lost. They appealed it and we won. So... i suggest you get an attorney. (It also took an attorney to get the VA diability rating.)
