My husband was treated with 7 weeks of radiation for tonsil cancer. After several weeks of treatment, he was wishing he had a feeding tube. They did not use one because they weren't able to find a good spot to insert it. It would have been much easier for him to keep himself hydrated and nourished if he had a feeding tube. I would recommend it.
