Hello Rollercoaster, I'm sorry you are going through this. This weekend I was up in Seattle at the Northwest Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference. The whole first day was about nutrition for MBC patients, though it applied to us all, I think. There was a lot of excellent advice about what a healing diet looks like. Geekling and Barryboomer offer good advice and are in line with what I was hearing there. If I can add one thing that I learned, it would be to add green tea to your diet 5-7 cups daily. They went into a lot of detail about the antioxident properties of this. Also, in a nutshell, they said to get your nutrition from food vs supplements and eat organic and as clean as possible. All stuff that benefits us all. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks to all of you for all your different perspectives and for answering my questions. I greatly appreciate it. After weighing all my options, I decided to see a naturopath next week as I believe I need more help in getting rid of this cancer than just chemo. I will run all of your suggestions by him and will let you know what he suggests. May God Bless all of you and am sending healing and positive energy your way.

Rollercoaster, if you are still taking the Haloven and Taxotere, please remember to ask the doctor who prescribed them if any new things will have any interaction with them. It could keep them from working, so be cautious.

I take a chemo pill daily, and everywhere I look it says not to have grapefruit juice while taking it---just an example of how random interactions are.

If you are unsure what to do, everything I've learned just says to have a generally healthy lifestyle, and your body will be it's strongest to fight the cancer. Best wishes.
