Hi Bill. I too was diagnosed with eye cancer specifically Ocular Melanoma in July of 2010. Be happy to discuss with you, just let me know. I have one Avastin injection left in treatment and then I am done. Do CT scans every six months as well as liver profiles.

I also have Ocular Melanoma (eye cancer) and was treated at Wills Eye in Philadelphia. In fact I go back there next week for my one year check. They are wonderful. I have a Vitreo-Retina Specialist back home who checks me in between Wills visits and give me the Avastin injections. I also have a Medical Oncologist at home who co-ordinates the CT scans and liver profile tests every six months.

I am extremely careful with follow ups as just four months after the Ocular Melanoma diagnosis during the routine CT scan they found breast cancer so I had two primary cancer diagnosis within four months.

I was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in August 2005 and was treated with surgery and proton beam radiation at UC Davis. The tumor has not regenerated; still lying in death pose.
In May, I was diagnosed with metaplastic carcinoma with matrix production; triple negative receptor. I don't know what the future holds for me regarding the triple negative; the tumor was completely removed and there was no cancer detected in the 7 nodes removed.
I have adapted to being able to see mostly out of only 1 eye; depth perception is constantly challenged.
