Celebration (Hair is back): The "peach fuzz" as we called it, started growing back 3 weeks after my last day of chemotherapy. Substantial hair growth was noticeable after 2 months!

Celebration (Finished treatment): The last day of radiation was 10-14-12!!
The oral chemotherapy treatment was stopped 11-2011 because the brain tumor was stable and I needed to start chemotherapy for the newly diagnosed lymphoma. Last day of chemotherapy was 3-30-12!!!

Radiation (External radiation ): At Northwestern Medical School in Chicago, I had 33 treatments (6 1/2 weeks) of targeted radiation to the brain tumor. For the first three weeks I did not notice any side effects, other than hair starting to fall out where the radiation was being administered. After three weeks, I felt some fatigue and my vision worsened. I was able to work the entire time but decreased to part time because my treatments were during business hours.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): For the brain tumor, I took Temodar. This had minimal side effects with the most common being nausea. I took Zofran to help with the nausea and a side effect of that was constipation. When Zofran was no longer effective I started wearing a Sancuso patch, which worked well.
For the lymphoma, I had CHOP+E treatment. This had more side effects including loss of hair, colder body temperature and fatigue. I also had shingles while being treated so overall, this treatment was more unpleasant.
