Side Effects (Fatigue (tiredness)): During the 4 rounds of A/C fatigue was overwhelming- spent most of the time on the sofa, although did manage to go out with family and friends occasionally. Had some queasiness but as long as I kept some food on my stomach it was tolerable. Much easier on Taxol- I had more energy, no queasiness.

Celebration (Finished treatment): Finished 5 months of chemo on Aug. 27- celebrated with my family
Oncologist feels statistics are in my favor and does not feel I'll have any more problems although he cannot guarantee this. Said I can have my power port removed so I was very happy about that.over 9 years ago -

Radiation (External radiation ): Have received 18 of 33 treatments and so far only side effect is some fatigue in late afternoon but nothing like it was during chemo.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Finished chemotherapy on Aug. 27- had 4 rounds of adriamycin&cytoxin, followed by 12 rounds of Taxol.Celebrated with my family by going out to dinner. Feel I was very fortunate in not having any severe side effects - just a lot of fatigue. Of course, I did lose my hair, eyelashes and eyebrows but they will grow back. Appetite was good during the entire course of treatment and the Neulasta injections the day after the A/C kept my WBC within normal range. No neuropathy- took Vit. B12 combo daily and I think that helped.
