Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Because of my age, my chemo doctor wanted me to have another round of chemo. I am currently taking IV chemo and Xeloda. Everything is going fine. I have not lost my hair, but I am extremely sensitive to cold.

Procedure or Surgery (Ileostomy ): My surgery lasted a long time. When they went in to do the surgery, they found that I had a hernia wrapped around my small intestines from my hysterectomy. They removed my rectum and 2 lymph nodes. I had Stage III cancer, it had moved to my lymph nodes. I stayed in the hospital for 9 days.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): My chemo doctor put me on Xeloda. I took the medicine everyday from the start of my radiation, until the last treatment. I did not have any big side effects to the medicine, just decreased appetite.

Radiation (External radiation ): I had 28 radiation treatments. My skin was really bad burned, but corn starch was a blessing.
