Procedure or Surgery (Began Revlimid, Dex,and Velcade and suffered through first treatment with mouth sores, a touch of pneumonia, and kidney stones. Took a month to get over the respiratory problem, but thanks to my best friend, an oncology nurse, I rid myself of tongue/mouh): Still don't have excuse for losing things although I'm in my second round of treatment. Onocologist says I'm responding exceptionaloloy well to treatment, so much that I might enter the stem cell transplant process earlier than expected. I have been remiss in my exercise program....which I have faithfully adhered to for years and slacked off because I was so fatigued and ran out of breath so easily....and didn't understand it was a symptom of MM. So I plan on hitting the gym tomorrow to slowly build up my energy loevel

Oh No (Cancer is back/Recurred ): After celebrating 10 years survivorship from triple negative breast cancer, I entered a clinical trial for anemia and found out via my lab reports that I had MM. It was pretty clear from the M Spike that I received via email that there was no mistake. I said "WTF" is Multiple Myeloma and delved into research about this untimely illness. I'm not too shaken up by it as I am in stage I---although it is rather aggressive---and bone lesions have not been found. I'm rather satisfied that I have an excuse for forgetting and losing things and extreme fatigue, bruising that I have been experiencing have a reason. I am in line for a stem cell transplant and eagerly/reluctantly am waiting in the wings for my debut/ordeal.
