Side Effects (Allergic reaction): Has anyone ever been on a MEK inhibitor clinical trial? My daughter started one two weeks ago and we are now in Sloan Kettering for 5 days with sky high fevers, a horrible rash all over her body and no one can figure out what is wrong with her. Her fever reached 105 and that is pretty high for an adult. All tests come back negative (I guess that's good). They are thinking that it might be a side effect of the pill she is on. Since it is only a phase I trial, I guess it's not known the side effects that can happen. This is so frightening and the rash is just horrible.

My daughter had a total hysterectamy. Had taxol/cisplatin 6 rounds/failed. Next was Avastin and Cytoxin/another failure. Now they say clinical trial at Sloan Kettering in NYC.
