    Dear Fulto:
I lost my beloved one Aug 30th 11 because of sclc he was 48 years old. I dont want to be negative cause there are survivors they are not much but they are exist. After him everything lost meaning and everyday harder I am still in not believing proses. Yes I have learned a lot. After 4cycle chemo my fiances CT showed 50% shrinkage after 6th, CT showed some enlargement in his liver and abdomen his doctor decided to change his chemo drug to taxotere , he only got chance to get one chemo cycle with new drug. His lung started to get fluid in one week I had to take him ER twice. When hospital was ready to send us home in one day or two, he had seizure and they put him brain MRI. Yes cancer was in his brain also and never get to chance take his own breath he lived three days on vantilator and blood pressure was low and also his hard was beaten so fast I was all the time with him talked to him gave him kisses tried to be strong if it was so hard.Fulto dealing with sc is very hard first of all be strong, follow every little detail take notes ask questions to doctors and nurses. My fiance was a lot of pain with he was on the pain killers and morphins all the time.If your husband taking alot of drugs be sure he gets alot of fluid our doctor told us at least three bottles every day. Also gave him ensure at least three bottles.Make sure he gets daily exercises it is important and give him protein make sure he gets his protein all low fat products. Never give him processed meat. Make every minute special . Even no show brain mets remind to doctor about brain MRI every few months, my fiance never showed any brain mets till his last days.Remember everyone is not same.I wish you and your husband very good luck and be strong cause if you stay strong your husband will be too. Pls keep me inform.
