8/29/12
So let me start off by saying that I do read and appreciate all the texts and Facebook posts but I can’t respond to all of them. And I feel bad that can’t but I am so tired that I just can’t. With that being said, thank you again for all of them and I am not ignoring you guys, promise!!! Ok so now with the update; I got to come home on Tuesday and that was a whole week in the hospital, fun times. But I still feel like I am in the hospital because I now have a wheelchair, walker and a hospital bed in Nicholas’ room and Nicholas is sleeping in his bed in the dining room. So we had to rearrange the house some. I had another MRI done today because Dr. L wanted to double check the large brain lesion on my right side and yes it is dying but there is enough live cancer cells in there that he wants to go ahead still do whole brain radiation which was the original plan. So instead of starting that today, we will start that tomorrow for 15 days, Monday – Friday, with no treatment on Labor Day. We should be finished on September 20th. I will lose all of my hair so I really was thinking about just shaving it and getting it over with, at the very least cutting it very short so it will be easier to deal with. Anyway, that is all that I know so I will keep everybody updated as I know stuff. -

Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): The cancer has spread and there is a spot in my liver, a spot in my back muscle on my left side and a new spot in my brain. So they took out two spots in my brain and the cancer replaced one of them. My doctors are getting us in touch with MD Anderson in Houston.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery to remove cancer that has spread): I had surgery to remove 2 tumors from my brain. I was in the hospital from Friday the 27th to Tuesday the 31st. Spent 2 nights in ICU and then went to a normal room. I have about 15 stitches in my head and I am really surprised how much I can do. I can shower and wash my hair.
