Celebration (Remission): Great news from my Dr. team @ MDA Houston this week! MRI of brain is clear! This was round #5 for me & it has taken a little more to bounce back from the brain surgery & follow up radiation, but it worked! Declared NED! Next appt. is in 3 months. Taking my 90 days & headed out for cooler temps! Sending strength & love to all!

Last week @ MDA Houston did not go as planned. Arrived @ 6am for halo fitting, only to be told it had been cancelled, bit of communication break down. Did get some confusing emails about appointments, but the 6am appt, had not been cancelled. I don't check my phone before going to bed. The team decided after reviewing last MRI that I needed the 3 day radiation treatment, which in hindsight, I am glad, the whole idea of having 4 screws drilled into my skull & having to lay still for hours was freaking me out a bit. So had the mask fitting, this I know how to do! 1st of 3 treatments will start on Tuesday. So ready to have round #5 behind me! Places to go, things to do!

Round #4. I am so very thankful for MDA Houston for acting so quickly on this latest tumor. New lesion on brain was 2.3cm, did not show up on Oct. 2017 scan. CA125 34. Knew I'd been having headaches this last month, but laid it off to too much reading, needing new glasses, too much computer time.....Saw brain surgeon on Friday, had surgery Wed. MRI clear. Dismissed Sat. Amazingly, very little pain. Suture removal May 1,2018, followed by by 1 radiation treatment.

My goodness lady, glad you have a good medical team. Hope you are feeling much better and healing well. I had a recent head injury and was amazed at the lack of pain also. Wishing you better days ahead.

01.11.2018 Finished with #29 daily radiation treatments, Woodlands MDA to treat 2 pesky lymph nodes in neck area. Radiation much easier than chemo! Next testing April 2018.

We have my mask and my port-a-cath. We were going to do something with them both too, but never have. We need to do that.

So far so good, minimal side effects. Will see how the next radiation treatment goes. Promised 1 treatment to left side brain after last week's surgery. Just a precaution, MRI clear. Guess, I will be getting a new mask.

Greg, I have had my gall stone in a bottle in my bedside drawer now for over twelve years. So many gall stones look like jagged pieces of lava rock but mine was perfectly round like a marble. That little sucker blocked my bike duct so out it came along with my gall bladder. Thought I might make a necklace out of it, but there it sits. The things we keep.lol
