Hi Alyssa,
I had b cell NHL, stage III. I just hit my 4 year remission anniversary in January. I had chemo, no radiation or surgery. The medical field has made great advancements in this treatment. Ask any question on this site....someone will have an answer or suggestion for you. No matter, what cancer is scary. Treatment isn't fun, but you can do it. Good Luck.2 Comments-

During chemo I had problems sleeping when taking the steroids prescribed. Also had digestive problems, but nothing I couldn't deal with. Always talk to your dr's staff. They sometimes take for granted they have told you something that they forgot to mention. I guess when they see so many people every week it would be hard to remember if they told you all the little tricks you need to know to cope. The staff forgot to tell me to use Miralax. My biggest problem was dealing with mouth sores. But I found Ora-Jel for mouth sores rinse and it helped immensely. Couldn't always find it at Meijer or Wal-Mart, but Rite-Aid had it, (just more expensive there.) Let me know if you have any other questions.

Welcome to the site. I had the same diagnoses as you have. I just hit my 4 year cancer free anniversary on Jan 19th. I didn't have this site when going through treatment. But it is a great site. Ask any question and someone out there will have an answer or suggestion. Good luck and have a great week!

congratulations of your cancer free victory. Do you still live with the nagging question as to if and/or when it may/will return? I have noticed a lot of statistics show cancer returning or new types of cancer beginning. What do you do to quiet those fears?

Of course I still worry about it returning. My scans were every 6 months. This is the first one that I'm going a full year, so I will have a scan in May. I wonder if I should have asked for 6 months. I've seen the stats too and people on this site will talk about having cancer 2 and 3 times. I suppose if I beat it once I can do it again, but I'm sure it will be harder the older I get. I try to stay positive, I enjoy my scrapbooking hobby and I definately spoil my 2 grandchildren.

I have two grand children as well and they are one of the ultimate reasons I pray my cancer does not come back...then and my children...but it's my husband and the dreams we have for the future that keep me on my knees in prayer.
