Side Effects (Chemo brain): When I had the lumpectomy 21 years ago I took chemo for 5 months, then radiation for 3 months. I was diagnoses with Chemo Brain 2006 it definitely will effect memory, being able to process detailed conversations or projects It has taken away my ability to remember short and long term things

Clinical Trial (I did not enter a clinical trial): I ask at I.U. Hospital here in Indy, the reply was they didn't have one to fit my illness at this time. I only have Medicare for insurance... so I wonder at times if that is an issue

Loss (Felt heart broken): Seems I had done everything I could and the Breast Cancer still came back even after a double mastectomy. I was so disappointed, hurt, shocked, the first couple of weeks were a total blur for me. This is a emotional roller coaster everything runs through your head when the Doc says your cancer is terminal. So hard to except

I am sorry that you have gotten this news. I can't imagine what you have to deal with at this time. Cancer is a nasty nemesis. Let us know how you are doing. Sending prayers and good thoughts. Take care.

Decision Point (I was worried about the side effects how they would effect my quality of life): I was given 3 to 5 years with treatment and 1 to 2 years without. It is just a guessing game I feel.

Oh No (Cancer is back/Recurred ): This is the 3rd time I have battled Breast Cancer. It began at age 39. I had a lumpectomy, then in 2008 a double mastectomy, currently Breast Cancer has metastasized to lymph nodes I have been advised by 2 Oncologists that surgery is not an option this time. So thus far I am on a hormone blocker just right about a month now. I see the Doc again the coming Friday the 18th. I had a PET scan done again a week or so ago so we will be discussing the changes that have occurred just in the last 2 months
