Richelle passed away yesterday morning at 8:53 am .. I not only lost my daughter..I lost my best friend. I thought I was prepared for this...I have been with her the last 32 days in the hospital then hospice.. she waited until her big brothers were with her..then went peacefully. What I need to know is now that she has passed...is there any where I can get help with paying the light and water bill at home since I have been on leave and not working? After all the stress of yesterday I come home to shut off notices for everything! Such uncaring people on the phone..selfish and greedy..
any one with any ideas or suggestions??3 Comments-

(From my prayer group)
Richelle will be remembered among the departed. Also will remember her Mum and brothers who will be going through a time of testing right now.

Been at hospice for 15 days, the doctor said the time is nearing, she got here 2 weeks ago..able to walk and talk..laugh and smile. She had a commitment ceremony with her boy friend. Now she can't eat..rarely drinks..can't walk or talk. The did shift change last night and all the day staff came in to say their goodbyes, as they have the next 3 days off. I have made some hard choices in the last few days..but she helped me with one..she wanted to donate her body to science..since her cancer isn't like any the doctors have seen. We talked to the people at medcure..all she really ever wanted was to make sure NO OTHER GIRL ever has to go thru the pain and suffering she has endured the past 6 months. How her cancer went from being a small tumor..to blowing up like wild fire in less than 2 weeks. it was pretty contained in her cervix, lung and liver..then just went everywhere..and it is still spreading, even when she in on her death bed struggling to take one more breath.

Took Richelle in to get fluids monday..they admitted her to the hospital.. a few days later ordered a cat scan/pet scan. Found out this morning that her cervical cancer has now spread throughout her entire body. There is Nothing more they can do for her.. she MAY make it till her 21st birthday with a lot of luck. Its spread into her spine so fast it has damaged her spine and now theres a risk of spinal cord injury. The worst part.. her boyfriend proposed this morning.. I am just so totally numb. This is the worst case of cancer that her doctor has seen.. it hasn't even been 5 months since the original diagnosis. She has lost like 10 pounds in just a few days. When/if she gets out of the hospital we have to start the hospice thing. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with.. I am at a loss of words..and an emotional basket case right now. I don't know where to turn or what to do.

I hate that you have to go through this. I wish I could make it all better. I dont even know what to say to a mother in this situation. I can only pray that God will fill you with his strength and peace. xox
