That's the most important reason to survive. I'm also a new grandmother.

I finished my last round of radiation on Feb. 13th 2013. On March 16, I was in Memphis, Tenn, doing the Dirty Girls 5k Mud Run! That's 3.5 miles of mud and obstacles! I went around most of the obstacles, however walking the 3.5 miles and getting muddy felt good and was good for my soul! (part of the proceeds from the mud run goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation) I'm a Dirty Gilr, and proud of it!

I have heard of that run, never been to one. It sounds like it would be a ball, especially to watch.

It really is a ball. it's for women only, though, men can spectate. :)

Radiation (External radiation ): If you take great care, it really isn't so bad.

Procedure or Surgery (Mastectomy): It was hard to look in the mirror right after it happened. I still have problems but am working through them. I'm alive, and that's good.
