Hi SouthrnBelle30,
First of all, congrats on a normal pap! Second, your question: I think if you are ready to let someone in on the emotional level that associates itself with sex, you would probably want to tell them about your journey. Maybe just let the situation play itself out and see how you feel. You might meet a wonderful person with whom you want to share all the details - you never know!
Not sure my post helped, but sometimes it just helps to have someone hear you out.

Depending on the outcome of this biopsy, I'm sure some type of surgery will be necessary, I'm just not sure to what extent. Of course I'm praying for the best, but I don't want to be naive and be blindsided to this. I'm curious as to any woman's experience with "LEEP" or Cone Biopsy or Conization?

Hi SouthrnBelle. May I recommend you ask this question using the "Questions" section? Your question will be seen by the entire community there and you will definitely get more feedback from people with experience with this procedure.

Loss (My mind/Sense of Humor): I had an abnormal pap and colpo/biopsy done when I was 18 (4 years ago). The biopsy came back clear. One year ago when I was 21 I had another abnormal pap (LSIL) but didn't do a followup colpo due to no insurance. A few weeks ago I had another abnormal pap and it showed ASC-H. I had the colpo and biopsy last week and am awaiting results. My gynecologist said judging from just the colpo and the fact the pap turned up results worse than previously, treatment will be necessary. Sometimes your gut just knows when something is very wrong, and unfortunately this is one of those times. I'm only 22 and want to have children someday so terrified is an understatement for my current status.
