      Hi,
My daughter has Hashimoto's. This is not a cancer it is an autoimmune disease that can cause serious problems with the Endocrine system. She has been told that she will eventually have to have her thyroid removed because of the Hashimoto's, her immune system is really over active.
I have a real problem with and doctor who will not take as much time as it takes to fully explain what is happening in your body. I would highly recommend that you find an endocrinologist that you can trust to sit and talk to you. The first thing is make sure they look you in the eye!
Take care, your thyroid controls many things and Hashimoto's has made it unreliable.
