I had a 1.8cm, typical, node negative, low mitotic rate lung carcinoid resected May 2012. Other than every 3 month carcinoid blood and urine tests and every 6 month scans I have not had further treatment. It would be interesting to know what the pathology of your tumor was that got you into a clinical trial and what about it made the doctor choose chemo/radiation.

I also had a pulmonary carcinoid with RLL resection by VATS in the May. So far all of my labs are good and I will have my first octreoscan as soon as the insurance approves it. My nodule did have receptors but I have no syndrome symptoms so am not having any therapy at this time. I hope to see a carcinoid specialist as soon as my insurance allows but I have talked to one on the phone. I had no syndrome symptoms before surgery and do not have any now. I If you haven't discovered Lovable Lungnoids on Facebook yet, please come join us. I wish you well and hope to see you at the LL soon.
