      Hi Kathy:

Sorry for the delay in answering you, I've been away for a little R&R. Thanks so much for reading my blog and your kind words. It's so important that we know we're not alone in how we feel as we walk through this disease.

If you haven't done so already, just go to my website, wherewegonow.com and hit the "Sign Me Up" button at the top of the page. Fill in the form and make sure to verify your info when you get my email (if you don't see it soon after filling out the form, check your spam folder.)

      It's great to "meet" you!

      Hi Margo,
My name is Russ, and I am a pancreatic cancer survivor of 12+yrs now. I am 68 and was diagnosed in 2000 with a tumor on the body/tail of the pancreas. After surgery, where they removed 40% of my pancreas, my entire spleen, a slice of my left kidney, and 5 lymph nodes. After the pathologist dissected the tumor it was determined that it was adenosquamous, a sub type to exocrine, carcinoma. Welcome to WhatNet. I know what you're going through and hope to give you some light by which I survived stage IV pancreatic cancer...it can be done. The statistics are low, but somebody has to be in the survivor percentage, and it may as well be you and me...right? Hang in there and if you have any questions fire away, the whole group is here for you. I have used this saying a few times already, but it sticks in my mind when I here of another person struggling with cancer. It has been used on TV so you may have seen it: "the further back that you can look, the farther forward you can see." Don't give up Margo, there are better days ahead.
      Best to you, Russ

Hi Rose67..welcome to WhatsNext...I too was diagnosed with IV Pancreatic Cancer in Sept 2012...I have done just the chemo...aggressive chemo FlorFluinox...and I am on no 8 treatment...I will say there are side effects to these drugs (neuropathy, foot and hand syndrome, mouth sores), but on another note they has great anti nausea drugs ...dexamethodone, emend to help with the eating...of which I have had great appitites..so from here I know my treatment will be changing..and as to where we go I will keep you posted...hopefully this helps in your journey, and always confer with the Docs...good luck
