Sounds like a ditto of my experience. My Doctors put me through chemo and radiation before doing surgery. It will be 3 years ago this March that I had the Whipple procedure done. I am doing fine today. Go back for regular checkups but they haven't been able to detect any return of the cancer. My prayers go out to you as you travel down the road to wellness.

Celebration (good news): I haven't been on this site much lately but today realized I haven't added anything in over a year. So for those interested I am still doing great. My life is pretty much normal. We had a great Christmas and looking forward to another good year. I had a little scare when I went for my checkup last month. The CT scan showed something in my kidney. They though it was just an infection and treated me for that. I went back to Dr. last week and the size had decreased by half, so am assuming it is infection and will be all gone when I go back in March. God has been so good to me. I give him all the Praise, Honor and Glory. I am a survivor!!

So glad to read this! I rejoice with you and continue to pray for you. Trusting the tumor will continue to shrink. Are they still planning to do the Whipple in the future?

Good to hear from you. Unfortunately, the Whipple is off the table. But I'm fine with that as long as things progress the way they have I can live (literally) with that. Sending you many hugs and a very happy 4th.
