Dave contacted me and told me to contact Greg. I explained what we are trying to do and told him that the privilege would not be abused. One of us should be sent the others email hopefully.

HI case just wanted to ask you some questions on survival rates.I know you are constantly seeking new information on lung cancer. What I would like to know is what are the odds of making it the first two years of it coming back. After that what is the third year and the fourth and fifth,What would the odds be on that. Thanks your knowledge would really be appreciated.

Survival is really improving every single day. The data has not changed much because it takes money to do a clinical trial.

Will write more later. gotta run.

susan sorry i forgot to answer your questions directly.
Lung cancer is front loaded meaning that once you have completed treatment and say you are considered in remission with no evidence of disease 85% of cancers that are going to return do so in the first two years after treament is completed.

The odds of the cancer returing after that is complex because it depends on the initial tumor size. what are the mutations, what was the initial stage, what were the treatments, was surgery involved, etc.

LC unlike any other cancer is 9 years of remission until you are considered cured. This is in large part because cancer in the lungs can spread very quickly to other organs because of the large amount of blood that flows through them.

But look, its changing every single day with more and more options and new discoveries. We have to have hope.
