Agree with the answers before me. I had 3 positive lymph nodes. My Dr. at Sloan professes I will have "full cure" when treatment is completed. Good luck ! ! !

I think you need a new doctor! I had 3 positive nodes stage 2a and I totally kick butt. And my doc says he expects me to be well and die of something else!

Nothing really important because never, ever, always are words that I don't trust in cancer world.....go for a second opinion.....and find the best.....the one committed with your cure and not with your cancer....above you have plenty of examples to consider before blind trust what he said.....Be faithful....for God nothing is impossible.....wishing you all the best....God bless you and continue blessing all of us

I did not have TN breast cancer (mine was ER/PR positive) but I am curious if you had lymph nodes removed when you had your lumpectomy. My cancer was stage one and 2 lymph nodes were removed at the same time as my lumpectomy. Both nodes were clear. Doesn't the surgeon remove enough nodes to tell if the cancer has spread to the lymphatic system when they do the lumpectomy? I'm really sorry if something was missed and that chemo & radiation did not kill off any cells that may have remained.

I was diagnosed with tnbc in sept. 2012 also & went through chemo, a bilateral mastectomy & radiation, so far I am cancer free. I too was stage III, but my doctor recommended the mastectomy over a lumpectomy. They did remove about 24 lymph nodes & all were clean. So sorry you have to go through this again, best of luck to you...

I had a friend with TN cancer. It took her 2 years from diagnosis before she had recurrance. I don't know the grade, but she was stage II when diagnosed. She had chemo and surgery, but no radiation.

Mine is curly and totally unmanageable. It is driving me nuts!! I keep trying to remember to call the girl that does my nails/hair and hoping she will give me suggestions. I am wanting to get my nails done again since I have most of the feeling back in them.

My hair came back curly & unmanageable!! The only thing I could do was get some of my son's hair gel & spike it. Called it my "biker chick" do!!! It was actually pretty cute - lots of compliments on it!! My hairdresser kept the sideburns & neckline shaped up then as it continued to grow, I just used headbands until the curls grew out & it went back to normal/straight.

I'm having the same problem! It's at that awkward length now where it needs a trim in order to look like a nice pixie but I am trying to grow it out long again so I don't want to trim it! I fight with it every day. I think I need to get some pomade or gel or something for the meantime.
