My last MRI 6 wks ago the nurses helped me figure this out- 78 port flushes saw my doctor 60 of those visits. Had 10 pet scans, 9 CTs, 7 chest x-rays, 7 brain MRI's, 2 cyberknife's. I have been sick for 6 1/2 years never told I'm cancer free. But 6 1/2 years later I'm still here and my doctor is thrilled. I deal with side effects and hair loss even now I just keep going and I was here to enjoy my grand daughter's 3rd birthday. That's what is important....

Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): First they thought is spread to my thyroid had surgery they just took half of thyroid. Sept 09 1 week after my first grandchild was born I had cyberknife to a brain tumor(it's not like the commercial) side effects were tough. Put back on Tarceva chemo drug keeps cancer at bay ??? It has bad side effects I have adjusted to and it's away keeping me alive. Another brain tumor found Feb 2012 another cyberknife Mar 2012

Side Effects (Flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, sweats)): Fatigue everyday you just learn how much you can do, chemo brain, no desire for food, some smells literally make you sick. I lived knowing where every bathroom was due to a cancer med. Hair loss was the worst for me wore a wig.

Radiation (External radiation ): Having radiation to cover lung means your throat and below are sore hard to swallow, giving up some foods and drinks. The drying of the skin was tough to this day I still put on lots of lotion.
