Other Care: Joey has decided to join the community as well. I've so enjoyed the personal interactions on here that I will remain on my own page as a friend/caregiver, but go visit Joey at WriterJoeyB for more details on his own journey.

Running in the Augusta Cancer Center 5K at the Waynesboro Summer Extravaganza for my best friend who is fighting Lymphoma. I published an article on the experience called "Why I Run". You can read it here: http://augustafreepress.com/kathleen-herring-why-i-run/

Way to go and thank you for being such a good friend. I'm sure you know many friends will run the other way. Thanks again for fighting for your friend and the many others who have heard those terrible words "you have cancer"!

She's the best friend I could ask for, it's the truth. *smiles* My little sister, in every way that matters.

Thanks for all the support, everyone, and particularly for the pointer about linking our respective blogs here, Greg!

Just wanted to say I love your posts and your positivity - it's true that all you have to bring to the cancer battle is *who you are*, so better to strengthen that than succumb to feeling helpless. Keep up the positivity and thank you for your kind words to my friend Joey as he fights that same fight alongside you. Cheers!

Here's another angle. Eliminate the word positive. Because if you allow for the word "positive," you have to allow for the existence of a "negative," and when you're fighting against cancer, it's a survival battle. Tear it apart.

Thanks, Mr. Reiss! Sorry for the delay in reply, but Kathleen just now pointed me to this resource for the first time. Hope all's well for you out in surf country!
