My doctor ordered a simple x-ray. The new mets showed up very clearly. My dosage of RAI was increased by my Endo. The mets disappeared.

You could have a thyroid scan, you maintain a diet low in iodine for a few weeks before the scan, then right before the scan you get some iodine and since thyroids love iodine any remaining tissue will uptake the iodine and it will show on the scan. Head to toe, easy peasy.

Full body scans are not easy peasy and should not be taken lightly. They increase your chances of other cancers, so every scan should be done only after due consideration. Of course, they cna be life-saving when needed.
